Electrical Consultant – IDEA Inc. & HDEZ Electrical Design Inc. German Hernandez has been a dedicated professional in the electrical engineering consulting field since May 2000, with a career spanning over two decades of experience in the preparation of construction documents that meet NEC, CEC, and UL standards. In 2016, German co-founded Innovative Design Engineering Associates, Inc. (IDEA Inc.), a fully licensed electrical engineering firm specializing in power distribution and lighting design for a wide range of clients including architectural firms, design-build contractors, property managers, building owners, and fellow engineering consultants.

Building upon the success of IDEA Inc., German also established HDEZ Electrical Design Inc., an electrical design firm focused on providing high-quality drafting and consulting services that support engineering teams in delivering code-compliant, accurate, and buildable electrical design packages.

German serves as a Principal of both IDEA Inc. and HDEZ Electrical Design Inc., where he plays a hands-on role in managing engineering standards, overseeing project production, and guiding teams through every phase of design. He works closely with clients to ensure each project aligns with their goals while maintaining high levels of quality and compliance.

His project portfolio includes new construction and tenant improvements for a variety of facilities such as restaurants, offices, retail spaces, custom homes, mixed-use buildings, and multi-family residential developments. German has built a strong reputation in restaurant, retail, multi-family, mixed-use, site lighting, and office TI sectors throughout California.

From conceptual planning to construction administration, German remains actively engaged in all phases of design—ensuring clarity, precision, and reliability in every project he touches.
