German Hernandez has worked in the electrical engineering consulting profession since May of 2000. His work
includes preparation of Electrical construction documents ensuring compliance with NEC, CEC and UL standards. In
2016 German and two other partners founded a fully licensed “Innovative Design Engineering Associates” firm.
Each of our team members possess over 18 years of professional experience in multiple types of commercial,
residential and institutional facilities throughout California. IDEA Inc. is a professional Electrical Engineering firm
specializing in power distribution and lighting design for Architectural firms, Design-built contractors, Building
owners, property management and other consulting engineering firms.

As an Electrical Engineering Principal of IDEA Inc., German works closely with his clients to achieve their goals and
objectives. German is personally involved and responsible to assist with multiple projects, company engineering
standards and overall production. German’s project management and design experience include power and
lighting design for City permit of various Commercial facilities, such as Restaurants, Office, Retail, Custom residential,
Mixed-use buildings and Multi-family projects.

German’s major focus has been on Restaurants, Retail, Multi-Family Residential, Mixed-used facilities, Site lighting
and office and Office TI projects throughout his 18-year career. From new concept development through
construction, German is involved in all phases of design and construction administration.
